It’s feels flimsy, but it needs to be in order to clamp on. The YouTube video showing the installation helps.As typical for many Chinese products, installation instructions are tiny and sketchy. The "instructions" included in the Highlander version are NOT for the Highlander...it shows a different hardware and is NOT applicable. However, there is a brief and silent video on the Amazon site for this product. Make sure to select the one for the Highlander. You have to pry a part of the dash to fit the phone holder's support under it. Follow the video closely and I'm pretty sure the prying is NOT upward, but towards you. Anyway, once you get the support installed, its all good. The plastic bracket is thin and quite flimsy...but fits precisely. How long will it last??? Especially with a heavy phone like my iPhone 13 in an Otterbox Defender case. The phone clasping mechanism is clever an just barely fits my phone in that fat case.Be very gentle, maybe it will last (?). I'll only use this when I'm using the phone as a GPS navigator...and I won't be pounding it with my fingers. Its position is perfect, however! Does NOT interfere with the air duct and the charger plug can still be used. If the mounting bracket was robust metal instead of thin, flimsy plastic, I'd give this 5 stars. But its not, unfortunately. I'll upgrade this review if if proves durable.This phone mount is perfect for the 2015 Toyota Highlander and like years.
